Independent Schools

In addition to our partnership with Shelby County Schools Pathway’s program, New Ballet offers dance training and performance opportunities for students attending Independent Schools in the Greater Memphis area. These after-school programs give children and teens the opportunity to explore their skills and interest in dance through a variety of classes led by New Ballet Teaching Artists. These classes meet one to two afternoons per week and can conclude with a performance at the end of the semester.

Classes include:

• Creative Movement (early childhood)
• Beginning Ballet (ages 3 to 7)
• Hip-Hop (ages 6 and up)
• Tap (ages 6 and up)
