Family Resources

We believe that children’s success in the arts and life is built upon much more than dance itself. New Ballet provides access to the following resources to help students remain healthy, secure, and happy. For more information and to sign up for either of these programs, please visit the front desk or email Kathy Coburn at kathy@newballet.org.

Kindred Place Student Assistance Program

For dancers, mental wellness is equally important as physical health. We value the social, emotional, and mental wellness of our student dancers and have partnered with Kindred Place to provide free counseling resources. Students may seek confidential support with Kindred Place counselors for up to six free sessions per school year.

Driving the Dream

New Ballet partners with Driving the Dream to provide equitable access to resources and support for all of our families. These cross-sector partnerships help us provide resources at no cost to the family. Designed to tear down systemic barriers and help Memphis families move out of poverty, the program connects families with professional development, career assistance, financial literacy, and other supportive information.
